| Q1. What happens to the Caller Ringtone (CRT) service after December 17th, 2007? |
| We are launching our new CRT service very soon. All songs from certain music labels that were previously withdrawn from our system will be made available again. We will also add more new songs to our library. |
| Q2: What is the new pricing model in effect? |
| 1. Maxis will no longer be charging the monthly subscription fee of RM3. 2. You can buy new songs at RM3/song and renew songs at RM2 per song every month. 3. Personalised CRT: You can buy personalised CRT at RM4 per song and renew songs at RM2 per song monthly. 4. Song renewal is automatic on a 30-day period. You will be notified via SMS 3 days before each song?s renewal date. 5. We have introduced a new Caller Ringtone Package where you pay only RM5/month for 3 songs. At least 2 songs will be auto-refreshed on the 1st of every month so you will always have new songs to entertain your callers! |
| Q3: Why are we reviewing the pricing? |

Music is a key focus of Maxis and Hotlink. We are constantly exploring ways to bring our customers the best experience in music. In the long term, this new pricing model will enable Maxis to enhance our music offerings for customers.
This new pricing model takes into account the needs of different customers. It allows customers to purchase songs based on their usage. For customers who prefer more than 1-2 songs on their playlist, the CRT Package at RM5 for 3 songs will be highly appealing. For customers with only 1 or 2 songs on their playlist, they can purchase songs as usual but without the monthly subscription fee of RM 3. The new charges will be tied to the number of songs in the playlist at RM3/song for a new purchase and RM2 /song monthly. |
| Q4: How will the changes in pricing affect you? |
| If you are an existing CRT subscriber, you are charged at the current rate of RM3 per month subscription fee. After 17th of December 2007, you have 2 options:
Option 1 Continue to enjoy the songs in your current playlist and pay RM 3 monthly subscription for all the songs NOTE: By selecting Option 1, you will not be able to buy new songs or packages. Option 2 Purchase new songs from our new extended song list but you will need to pay RM3/song for new purchase and RM2 /song monthly. NOTE: Please ensure that you manage your playlist and delete songs that you no longer want. Songs that are left on your playlist will be subjected to the RM2 monthly once you have migrated to the new CRT model. Once you have upgraded, you will not be able to go back to your old RM3 subscription model. |
| Q5: Where and how do I upgrade my CRT service? |
| You can upgrade via the Maxis and Hotlink music website or dial *100#, and select Music and Caller Ringtones. |
| Q6: I would like to purchase new songs but I do not want to pay for my current songs. When should I delete my current songs, after or before the upgrade? |
| If you do not wish to pay for your current songs in playlist, please ensure that they are deleted from your playlist before the new pricing structure applies.
However, if you would like to purchase new songs from our extended song list, it can only be done after 17 December 2007. This means you will need to upgrade to the new pricing structure where you will be charged RM2 for each of your current songs. |
| Q7: Will I be charged for songs in my playlist even if I do not select them to be played? |
| Yes, you will be charged based on the number of songs you have in your playlist, even if you did not select them to be played. Each song will be renewed at RM2/song/month. |
